I don't use poker tracker or anything, but the biggest hole in my game is definitely low pocket pairs. 2's - 6's. I am getting absolutely killed when I play them. I've heard that there's a 6.5-1 odds of flopping a set, but it seems like 20-1 for me.
I play Limit Ring. And NL Sng's. I need to improve both my preflop and post flop strategy.
Early position. Fold or Limp?
Late position to a raise. Fold or Call?
Post Flop with pocket 3's. Flop is 246. How do I play this?
Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks. |

| I think just about everyone has this problem. There doesn't seem to be a good way to play these cards (2-6's). I like to fold these in early position (seat 1,2,3)...unless I'm short stack at the table. I'll take the chance to take the blinds and/or at least double-up. Depending on the texture of the table, I'll fold, call, and even raise in mid-position. This is done based on hands in the past and how good of a read I've got on other players at the table. If there were already a raise before you pre-flop...then I toss. If one or two call...then I call. If no one to you...then I'll think about raising and stealing the blinds without a flop. I've had success with each one. I've saved my stack by folding and tripled up as well. As for playing 3's after a 2,4,6 flop, that really depends on what happened up to the flop. How many people are in, where are they located compared to you, did anyone raise, what position are you in, etc. If you have 5 or 6 people in, you're most likely beat. If there is only 2 or three people in, you might be able to put them on a particular hand based on their betting technique pre-flop. I would never call a bet after that flop. Either fold or raise to see where your opponent stands. This also depends on whether you think they bet just because they were last to act and you think they're trying to steal the pot. If you think that, then go over the top. I would just recommend not getting into a pot with too many people because low pocket pairs hardly ever win with more than one other person in. I hope this helps out! |

MP w no raise muck <6 call 66 77 88 99
w raise muck <7 call 77 88 99
LP w no raise call all PP <8, raise 88 99
w raise call 88 99
SB any PP for 1 bet
BB any PP, raise 88 99 if no raise b4 |

Low pps are hands I'll limp ONLY with in MP and limp OR call a small raise in late. If you dont trip get out.
2-4-6 is really a terrible flop. you are a 43:4 dog. almost 11:1 to catch your 5. And in a low limit game it isn't ridiculous to consider one or more of your 5s to be in play...an INSTANT check/fold to any bet.
and a set on the flop off the top of my head I believe is a 7.5-1.
In other words play in late postion, limp in middle, and fold to ANYTHING if you don't hit it on the flop |

| I like playing pocket pairs if it's cheap to call.....otherwise fold.....you can win big if you flop a set otherwise just fold |

THINK IT OVER
Today we have higher buildings and wider highways,but shorter temperaments and narrower points of view;
We spend more,but enjoy less; wow gold,
We have bigger houses,but smaller famillies
We have more compromises,but less time;
We have more knowledge,but less judgment;
We have more medicines,but less health; wow power leveling,
We have multiplied out possessions,but reduced out values;
We talk much,we love only a little,and we hate too much;
We reached the Moon and came back,but we find it troublesome to cross our own street and meet our neighbors;
We have conquered the uter space,but not our inner space;
We have highter income,but less morals; wow gold,
These are times with more liberty,but less joy;
We have much more food,but less nutrition;
These are the days in which it takes two salaries for each home,but divorces increase;
These are times of finer houses,but more broken homes;
That's why I propose,that as of today; wow gold,
You do not keep anything for a special occasion.because every day that you live is a SPECIAL OCCASION.
Search for knowledge,read more ,sit on your porch and admire the view without paying attention to your needs;
Spend more time with your family and friends,eat your favorite foods,visit the places you love;
Life is a chain of moments of enjoyment;not only about survival;
archlord gold,
Use your crystal goblets.Do not save your best perfume,and use it every time you feel you want it.
Remove from your vocabulary phrases like"one of these days"or "someday";
Let's write that letter we thought of writing "one of these days"!
wotlk gold,Do not delay anything that adds laughter and joy to your life;
Every day,every hour,and every minute is special;
And you don't know if it will be your last. wow gold, |
