| SO I am playing in a tourney. 180 players total down to the final three tables. Tourney paid top 20 places. I am sitting one seat behind the button with seven players on the table. Blind are 200/400 I have just over 21,000 in chips. First two seats fold. Third seat raise to 1500. I am holding K Q suited (hearts). I call. Small and big Blind Call. Flop come Ah 5h Qc. Small blind bets 4500, big blind folds and the original raiser pushes all-in (he had more chips then I did, and the small blind has less then I did.) Now where would you go from here. You have a medium pair and the nut flush draw. Basicly I put the small blind on A J and the original raiser on a big overpair just as aces, AK, or AQ. So I laid it down. I would just like to hear what everyones opinion about that play. |

good laydown, but i don't think u had any business being in there w/ a dominated hand such as KQ even if was suited....
i'd rather have 72o or play my hand blind, than CALL with KQs |

Hey lork,
Did you get to see if you would have won or not? |

You ABSOLUTELY made the correct play. You only had 1500 in there you didn't really have much of a hand as promising as it was. You weren't even in the money yet.
If there were say, exactly 20 player left, MAYBE i'd call since ususally spots 10-20 pay about the same amount. A BIG maybe btw.
Just my .02. Would you have won anyway? What did the SB have? |

| This is how the hand turned out. No Joking. The sm blind called the all-in with Jh 9h. Also bascily drawing for the flush. The original raiser turns over pocket 10's. At this point I was sick. The turn comes a 9s and the river comes a Jd. So I would have ended up losing the hand but I would have been ahead on the flop. |
